Glacier Bay Country Inn Restaurant

Glacier Bay Country Inn is where you can fish and tour amid unparalleled scenery and solitude, with ample opportunities for rest and relaxation.

Our world-class cuisine and personalized service, featured in Food and Wine, Saveur, and Bon Appetit, are only a few of the many wonderful surprises awaiting you at the Glacier Bay Country Inn.

From the tempting smell of freshly baked breads to platters brimming with local delicacies, the Glacier Bay Country Inn offers you an extraordinary dining experience. Our cuisine offers a culinary adventure that you will never forget, and will long to experience again and again. Feast on succulent Alaskan salmon, halibut, and Dungeness crab. Not a seafood person, we offer a delicious alternative to seafood at every meal such as English roasted prime rib, alder-smoked maple chicken, or Pan-seared duck breast with maple cream sauce. Enjoy locally grown vegetables and savor wild berries plucked from the surrounding rainforest.

In the mornings you’ll wake to the savory aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Join us for breakfast as our attentive staff serve you freshly made donuts, juicy seasonal fruits, and hearty breakfast platters… just the right way to start a day of Alaska adventuring. We prepare ample lunches to take with you so you won’t miss one minute of excitement during fishing or whale-watching excursions. After a busy day of enjoying the Alaskan experience, we anticipate your afternoon arrival with a steaming cup of tea complimented by homemade cookies. Pull up a seat on our spacious spruce deck, stretch out your legs, and share the day’s adventure with other travelers from all over the world. Relax as the lazy afternoon light fades into another spectacular sunset.

The perfect ending to your day of Alaskan adventure comes with the delicious three-course evening meal awaiting you at the Glacier Bay Country Inn. Begin with a choice between a freshly made Summer Salad with orange-tarragon Vinaigrette or perhaps a homemade soup such as Alaskan Seafood chowder with Halibut, King Salmon, Dungeness Crab, and Alaskan Spotted Prawns. After savoring your initial foray into native Alaskan cuisine, try a mouth-watering entrée such as King Salmon en Croute with green peppercorn sauce, or perhaps our carefully prepared Pan-seared Breast of Duck with Maple Cream Sauce. Of course, no sumptuous meal would be complete without a sweet finale, so we’ll treat you to Glacier Bay specialties such as our creamy Raspberry Cheesecake, rich Cinnamon Creme Brulee or flaky Nectarine Tart.
